Government & Public Sector

AI-powered citizen services for government agencies and county governments.

aryyo connects to your e-government portals, licensing systems, and payment platforms — and makes permit applications, license renewals, levy payments, and public participation notices available to citizens on WhatsApp, the channel they already use every day. No new app to download, no new system for staff to learn, no code for your team to write.

How do I apply for a business permit?

What documents do I need to renew my driving license?

Where can I pay for parking?

When is the next public participation forum on the new bylaw?

Your front desks and call centres field these questions dozens of times a day — about permits, licenses, fees, and upcoming forums. Every interaction takes staff time, and citizens often can't reach you outside office hours or without a trip to a government office.

In conversation

Permits, payments, and public participation — answered instantly.

aryyo queries your e-government, licensing, and payments systems directly, verifies the citizen's identity, and responds in plain language — in English or Swahili.

What citizens can do

Plain-language answers, grounded in your own systems.

A citizen can ask "how do I renew my business permit?", or in Swahili, or in a dozen different phrasings — aryyo understands the intent, queries the right system, and responds accurately. It's also document-grounded: upload your fee schedules, bylaws, or service charters and aryyo answers policy questions from your own documents.

Permits & licenses

  • How do I apply for a single business permit?
  • What documents do I need to renew my trade license?
  • What is the status of my application REF-2291?
  • How much does a liquor license cost and how long does it take?

Payments & levies

Citizens pay parking fees, land rates, business permits, and fines via M-Pesa directly in chat — aryyo verifies the confirmation code against your payments system and issues a receipt instantly.

  • I want to pay for parking on Kimathi Street.
  • I paid my land rates this morning — has it been received?

Public participation

  • When is the next public participation forum?
  • How do I submit feedback on the proposed Finance Bill?
  • Where can I view the draft county budget?
  • How do I sign up to be notified about upcoming forums?

Service information

  • What are your office hours and location?
  • What documents do I need to bring for ID registration?
  • Which office handles birth certificate applications?

Status, tracking & reminders

aryyo checks application status against your e-government or county systems, and sends proactive reminders ahead of renewal deadlines, hearing dates, and payment due dates — no staff effort required.

  • Has my passport application been processed yet?
  • Remind me before my business permit expires.
How it works

Live in 2–3 weeks.

We connect to your existing systems via their APIs — e-government portals, licensing or revenue systems, and payment platforms. If a system doesn't expose an API, we work with your team to set up a simple read-only data bridge — we never require write access to your production systems beyond the specific payment or submission actions you approve.

  1. 1

    Discovery call

We map the citizen queries you want to automate to the e-government portals, payment systems, or databases that hold that data.

  2. 2

    Configuration

We configure aryyo with your agency's services, system endpoints, authentication, and the AI's instructions for each query and payment type.

    3–5 days

  3. 3

    Testing

We run the full set of citizen query and payment scenarios with your team using real, sandboxed data.

    Go live

Your agency's WhatsApp Business number is connected. Citizens start using it from day one — no app to download, no account to create.

Total time from first conversation to live: typically 2–3 weeks.

Security

Built for sensitive citizen data.

We understand that citizen records and government systems require the highest standards of care, and aryyo is built with this in mind from the ground up.

Read-only by default

The AI agent has no ability to approve permits, alter records, or modify citizen data. It retrieves and reports; only configured payment actions can write, and only with explicit confirmation.

Citizen verification

Before returning application or account information, aryyo verifies identity using a registered phone number, national ID, or application reference number — configurable to your policy.

Encrypted credentials

All API keys and system credentials are stored with AES-256-GCM encryption.

No data storage

aryyo does not retain citizen records beyond the conversation session — data is queried live from your systems and returned to the citizen.

SSRF protection

All outbound API calls are validated to prevent any form of system abuse.

Audit trail

Every query and payment is logged with a timestamp, citizen identifier, and request type for compliance records.
